Titan Souls (Vita): COMPLETED!

What a difficult game. Rewarding, complete with air punches, each time a Titan is finally felled, but oh so very difficult. Almost every Titan I came across seemed impossible to defeat. At first it was because I couldn’t see how you were supposed to take them down, and then it was simply because I couldn’t. Perseverance paid off, and eventually each and every one was beaten. Eventually being the operative word there – so, so many attempts. Most impossible of …

Titan Souls (Vita)

What seems like a long time ago, I heard about Titan Souls on the Pig Ignorant Indie Gamers podcast. Back then, it was a web based game written in about ten minutes for the Ludum Dare game jam. I played it, liked it a lot, and completed it. Then it spent over a year being developed into a proper full game, and I eagerly awaited its release. And now it’s here! It is, basically, the same as before. Only bigger. …

Titan Souls (Web): COMPLETED!

Is this a first? As in, a web-based (well, Flash) game that I’ve completed? Sort of. I mean, I’ve completed Cookie Clicker and Clicking Bad, but they’re not really proper games (are they?). Only with just four Colossi. And your only weapon is a single arrow you have to …

The Touryst (Switch): COMPLETED!

Now this is an unusual game. Unusual in graphical style, setting, and gameplay. Sure, it might look a bit like Minecraft but it’s much more granular, cleaner and with much better environmental effects. Yes, there are gameplay elements similar to the old Tomb Raider games and Titan Souls. But it feels very different to any of these things. You’re a tourist, who travels between small islands taking photos of the strange towers present on most of them. You solve puzzles …

2017 Game of the Year, Part 1

Once more, it is time to declare which game was the best game of all games in 2017. Once more, I will always be right. And, once more, the rule is that the game was played by me for the first time in 2017, rather than came out in 2017. With that said, here are the games that didn’t quite make it, in no particular order: Lego City Undercover (Switch) Already I’ve broken the only rule I’ve given myself, as …
